The cold spell continues – spring is not yet here

The trees are still bare and few of the daffodils have opened up, in spite of the fact that we are past the equinox and have just gone into British summer time. I am still feeding the birds and, as yet, there is no sign of a let up of this long, cold spell. Last month was, I think, the coldest March for fifty years.
